Current IMO Security Level
MPA updates the current security level on its website to informs ships operating and intending to enter the territorial sea of Singapore.
Contracting Governments set security levels and ensure that the current security level information is make known to ships and their respective flag States. These ships include those operating and those intending to enter their territorial seas.
These requirements for Contracting Governments come from the provisions of SOLAS regulation XI-2/3 and XI-2/7, which relates to threats to ships at sea. The information provided includes:
- current security level;
- security measures to be put in place for ships;
- and security measures that coastal States decide to put in place.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) represents the Contracting Government for Singapore.
