Singapore Maritime Institute Fund

To better align education and research with our strategic maritime interests, MPA, in collaboration with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Economic Development Board (EDB), launched the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) in September 2010. Through supporting a series of R&D programmes, projects, R&D infrastructure and Centres of Excellence, SMI promotes greater industry-academia R&D collaborations, and strengthens Singapore’s research capabilities and impact to the industry.
