MPA has embarked on a review to enhance the registration and safety requirements of pleasure craft under the Singapore Registry of Ships.

With effect from 1 July 2020, Singapore-registered pleasure crafts will be required to meet the registration conditions and safety requirements under the new Merchant Shipping (Pleasure Craft) Regulations 2020.
